Trim and Molding Painting in Phoenix, AZ
Painting baseboards, door casings, crown molding and window trim with a smooth, durable finish that holds up to scuffs.
Licensed Phoenix, Arizona General Contractor - ROC 367058 (R-62)
What's included
- Cleaning and degreasing trim
- Filling nail holes and caulking gaps at walls
- Light sanding between coats
- Brush and roller finish with no drips
- Semi-gloss or satin enamel
- Doors and door frames on request
Common problems I see in Phoenix homes
- Caulk gaps opening between baseboard and wall
- Yellowed oil-based trim paint
- Brush marks and drips from earlier jobs
- Chipped edges on high-traffic door casings
The desert sun is hard on paint: UV fades color and breaks down cheap coatings, and stucco moves with the heat. Good prep and the right product matter more here than almost anywhere. In summer I schedule exterior work early in the day.
How I approach trim and molding painting
Trim is where good painting shows. I caulk every gap, sand glossy old paint so the new coat bonds, and use a self-leveling enamel for a smooth finish. If the old trim is oil-based I prime with a bonding primer first, because latex over oil peels.
