Indoor and outdoor security cameras for Phoenix homes and small businesses: I plan the views with you, mount the cameras solid, run the cable cleanly and get every camera recording before I leave.
Licensed Phoenix, Arizona General Contractor - ROC 367058 (R-62)
What's included
- Walk-through to pick camera spots and viewing angles
- Wall, eave, soffit and ceiling mounting
- Wired PoE and Wi-Fi cameras
- Weather-sealed outdoor connections
- Aiming, focus and motion-zone setup
- A final check of every camera on the recorder and your phone
Common problems I see in Phoenix homes
- Cameras pointed at the sky or a wall, missing the driveway or door
- Wi-Fi cameras dropping out at the far side of the house
- Camera housings overheating in direct afternoon sun
- Loose mounts that shift after monsoon winds
Phoenix heat, dust and monsoon storms are hard on cameras and recorders: housings bake in the afternoon sun, dust coats the lenses, and power surges knock systems offline. Good placement, outdoor-rated cable and a cool spot for the recorder make a system last.
How I approach security camera installation
I start by walking the property with you and deciding what each camera needs to see: entry doors, driveway, side gates, back yard or a register and storefront. Then I mount the cameras on solid backing, seal outdoor penetrations, and aim them so faces and plates are readable. In Phoenix I avoid west-facing spots in full afternoon sun when there is a better option under an eave.
Code note: Low-voltage PoE camera cabling does not need a new 120 V circuit. If a spot needs a new outlet, I tell you before starting whether it calls for a licensed electrical contractor.
